If you like anything petrol-powered and classic, Bicester Heritage was the place to be last weekend. The Flywheel festival was a huge gathering to celebrate the venue’s 10th anniversary.
As usual for Bicester events, the cars were a wonderful eclectic collection, with no room for snobbishness. If you mix a Blower Bentley with a McLaren F1, or a load of rally Escorts with a Mk2 Crayford Cortina convertible, well you get a fraction of the variety.

Around 100 of them sprinted around the figure-of-eight track, while classic planes buzzed the sky.
Bicester Heritage is a WW2 bomber base near Oxford, its hangars and command buildings now revived and converted into classic-car workshops and associated businesses. It has become a vibrant hub for the hobby.
